Homeschooling Schedule and the Little ones

I've often wondered how in the world I'll be able to homeschool all the children. I came up with this plan because starting at around 9:30-10 am wasn't working for us. We never seemed to be able to start at say 9am. Our school would go one or two hours past lunchtime because of all the interruptions, nursing breaks, etc. It was also bothering me that my little girls were not getting a lot of attention during our morning hours. So I decided we would try it EARLY.
Our Homeschool Schedule
6:30 am 1st grade and up starts school. Preschool and under-sleep till 8 am.
We do all the one on one stuff at this time. Phonics review/reading, spelling, math, sometimes there is time for English, and anything that I need to teach except for social studies/science, and our Bible.

8:15-9:30 am We break at this time and have breakfast, do morning chores, nurse/feed baby, children play if done with chores, etc.

9:30-12 pm Children finish up any schoolwork that they were slow'n'pokey on and we do English. Little ones are allowed to play quietly while we do our Bible lesson and either social studies or science, and then we read some books together. This is a very laid back time with breaks in between English. Sometimes their music practice gets done in this time frame also.

A few weeks into this new schedule I gave the boys the option of going back to the way we were doing things before. They didn't want to. It's really early so we all make sure they are in bed by 8:45 pm at the latest. I wouldn't change it either. It has brought a little peace to our schooling and given me hope that we can do this.
